The children have been happily proactive. There has been school work, which they have thrown themselves into whole heartedly, even though Phebe still struggles a bit, but she can write her name out now, usually in order and its recognizable, so BIG yay!
They have also been finger knitting. Here are their latest creations.
II finally managed to find an activity with the wool and needle that Phebe could do as well! She is so tickled that she can do this!
And I have started on my Christmas presents! I have made this little pillow house for Phebe. She will be able to take it with her on our car trips :)
I know they look rough as guts, but hey! I've never done this before. These are my first things!
Malachi has been creating games that he plays with his Lego. He has an amazing brain that boy!
As far as I can make out, this ship has to find the sole survivor of a crash, and the rescuing ship crashes as well!
Phebe and I made cupcakes! It was just a basic recipe of sugar, butter, eggs, flour and vanilla, with a little bit of jam mixed in for flavour, and then Phebe helped me decorate them when they were cool.
Malachi has been doing really well looking after his rats without much help (just prompting, lol!). Here is a shot of happy rats!
The white and tan one is Miss Splinter, and the brown one is Debbie.
We were rather late in ordering the children's PACE's for schoolwork after holidays, so we had a week to fill in. I made up some schoolwork for the children to do (found here http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=2074354815952290031#allposts/src=dashboard) and we worked though it every morning with them.
Here are some shots of Michael explaining stating electricity to them with a balloon that would not co-operate!
It was actually a lot of talking! Michael and I were very happy when the PACE's arrived and we could get back to normal, LOL!!
On a side, and completely unrelated note, I have finally found the perfect spot for my African Violet where it is very happy, so I shall leave you with a photo of it :) Bye all!
I love that finger knitting.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs of your beautiful children.
Thanks, Jean :) It can be hard to catch them as they all move around so much, hehe!
DeleteOh, I so wanted to make a cloth house, but I'm afraid I could get up the nerve!
ReplyDeletelol, I mentioned I broke two needles, on it, yes? Hehehe! If you have an idea about how you want it to look, its pretty easy, just so long as you don't get too fussy ;)
