WE had another lovely visit from my sister recently. This time they stayed the night. They had an engagement party to go to, and its well over two hours to get there from their place so we were happy to put them up.
The children were delighted as they adore their little cousin.
THe morning they left we had an unexpected arrival! An old Staffie had very firmly placed himself on our doorstep and wanted to come in!
Now, his appearance was not so surprising as it had been thundering and lightning-ing for a good three hours, but what was surprising was his determination to stay!
We left him in and established that the other dogs, cats and children were all safe with him.
Miriam had suggested we put and FB post up in lost and found, since it was free and quick, so this is what I did, and within the hour his owners were here to collect him!
I was SO relieved. He was a lovely old boy!
We have a new pet. This was very unexpected, and its taken me a bit of time to get used to it, but our new pet is a rabbit!
You see, what happened was my Mum gave us nine guinea pigs, eight babies and a bigger one. We kept the bigger one (Ribbon, her name is) and took the eight babies, plus four baby rats to the pet shop.
Upon arriving at the pet shop the girl there said they were happy to take all the babies, but because it was so short notice, and there were so many of them they could not give us cash, but could exchange for anything in the shop that was the same value.
Now there were fifty dollars worth of animals, so I take the children around the store...
Hadassah spies the rabbit...
I say, no, look some more...
Nup, the rabbit it was, so now we have a rabbit called Mrs Fiona Fluffybottom.
She is something of an escape artist, so we have had to 'take measures', but she seems to be fitting in great with the family.
Mrs. Fiona Fluffybottom? I LOVE that name!!! So glad you found the dog's owner, he looks like is a nice guy and I am sure they missed him when he was gone. Have a great weekend!
