Hello all! It has been none stop for us! School holidays over, school back in practice again, oh boy!
Malachi and Hadassah have their own pots some full of plants, others just seeds, but they are looking after them with gusto!
And I've got some lovely winter colour in the garden
Am really happy with my garden at the moment! It doesn't look too bad considering it has been both drowned and frozen by Mother Nature, eh?
Malachi and Hadassah have also started Taekwondo lessons. Remember I mentioned Hadassah is so shy we didn't know what to do with her? Well she is responding beautifully to the teachers! We had a small anxious moment last lesson when everyone was asked to jog on the spot, and Dass refused, but just stood there, and the teacher jogged over and stood in front of her and jogged right there till she started too. I do not know whether she even meant to do it, but did it simply because he was right infront of her, holding eye contact, and jogging! Whatever it was, it worked, and she did everything that was asked of the class, yay!! We haven't even put any money down yet, because the teacher wanted to make sure the children would respond to what was asked of them, first.
Yes, snow! We went up to Mt St Gwinear. It was rather a hairy trip, as at the foor of the incline the big sign said Warning! Snow chains beyond this point!
...
We decided to chance it, and made it to the top okay (going very slowly!) but we realize if it had been any wetter we coouldn't have done it!
There wasn't any snow in the car park, and we all got worried that there wouldn't be any, but as we started to climb we found it, so all was well !!
Here are some shots of our visit
We were very happy to get back to the car and duck into the change rooms and get into dry clothes, let me tell you! Hehe!
Snow!...wow. It's really strange reading about winter on your blog as we are only just entering Autumn here.
ReplyDeleteMy girls started karate last year and I wish I had started them earlier. I think martial arts are wonderful, so many benifits
This post I missed somehow... I do not blog these originally here you see, but compile them somwhere else then paste them here, and usually I do it all at ance, but methinks I was tired when I wrote this, back in July. I wonder why...? hehheh!
DeleteGreat pictures! It almost makes me wish for snow, but not quite. We've too much fall color here to go to snow yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture of you with your red hair and navy clothing!
You know its still snowing up there!? This was back in July, and we are now in September, and it is still snowing! brrr! The car wouldn't make it up there now, either. Too slipery :S
DeleteThankyou for the compliment :)
Now we've got the snow! Are you missing it yet? I'm missing shorts and barefeet!
