Oh my word! Talk about being flat out like a lizzard drinking!!
Lets just talk about the last three days!
Monday:
Outide trimming the edges with a pair of scissors because the whipper snipper doesn't work, then mowing the lawns, then rooting up and braiding the onions (never done that before!)
Tuesday:
The last of the Christmas and Birthday shopping. First I walked down the the shops with Malachi, and came back with wrapped gifts (all bought and wrapped down there). Then I drive with Phebe to the Salvation Army Opp Shop and she buys her presents for everyone, and then we go go back to the shopping Centre to wrap them and then we come home. AND THEN I walk down to the shops with Hadassah and she buys the last of her presents and we walk home with them.
Wednesday:
Do ALL the mending (hand mending, and sewing machine), jar up my dried herbs, make lemon juice, catch up on the washing, and try to get the house tidy.
Now, on Saturday we got all the decorations finished, and Michael spent almost all of Sunday asleep (I took the children to church by myself) and I did some bottling.
The decorations look pretty :)
This is the children adding their daily decorations. They have each been adding one decoration every day since the 1st, and the tree is looking really good.
In the advent calender they have a daily activity. There is always a scramble to see what they are doing next :D Todays was colouring Christmas pictures.
The stockings will have presents put in them Christmas eve morning (or possible the night before) as we are celebrating our private Chritmas on Christmas Eve, andon Christmas morning (EARLY) we are travelling to Mum and Dad's to celebrate Christmas there too.
Do you notice anything strange in the tree?
I'm off to cook dinner now. Hope this finds everyone well :)
Hi Mrs Yub. LOve the decorations and you have been so busy. I love all the jars of sauces /herbs etc I think there is something so homely about homemade food...well done you!
ReplyDeleteI dream of growing lemons to make lemons juice...there is no chance here in the cold UK. Looking out the window at the moment, everywhere is white with frost and it is foggy. I am getting withdrawal symptoms not going to my allotment as I'm missing it so much...roll on spring!
Hi!! I have been thinking about you! Serious case of the guilts because I haven't had the chance to do more than flick over your oh so interesting blogs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, and don't feel too jealous of us, we are suffering from heat of over 35 degrees celsius at the moment >X<
Oh don't worry about that. I know that reading blogs (and writing them)takes so much time and we all have lots of other commitments during the day too. Please don't feel guilty, you have supported me from day one on my blog and I really appriciate that.
