School Holidays

These had to be the quietest holidays we've had for a while.
Well, sort of.
We-ell, only in the way that we didn't go away on a holiday like we usually do,on account of not having a car.
The children had a lot of sleepovers.
Malachi got to stay at Cholil's,and he over here.
Hadassah got to go over the Charity's, and Charity came here. (Hadassah actually spent two nights in a row at Charity's house! I was really missing her by the end of it!)
Also I had Tomuto spend one night here, as she was feeling left out as her brother got a guest, and got to go away, but she didn't!
Another thing we did was take all the bikes down to the servo (three at a time)to get the tires inflated. Michael was taking the big bikes down, too, with the idea in mind that he could ride around while we had no car.
The children's bikes were fine, except Malachi's scooter, who's brakes o not work, but Michael's bikes were not co-operating. The first bike the back tired blew out. The second bike the front tired blew out. So he put the two good tires together on the better bike, and then the seat of that bike would not stay straight! And on top of that he reckoned his knees were going to hurt too much if he rode, so he threw that idea out and I didn't have the energy to argue.
I did take the children riding their bikes a few times, though. When the weather was fine.I walked while they rode, and we had a great time!
I had to buy Malachi and Hadassah new helmets, and their old helmets were passed down to the two younger children, so every one was catered for ad happy.
We also walked down to Immigration Park and had a bbq, which was fun! On the walk down we met Charity and her class, who were heading in the same direction, s Hadassah got to hang out with Charity for a bit.
While we were waiting for the sausages to cook on the free bbq's they've got down there, the children  had fun, running around madly, playing on the play ground, and watching the ducks.
Definitely want to do that again.
