Remember I told you earlier about how I got a real sweet deal on a mouse house with all the trimmings? Well when it went together the children were real enthusiastic, so off we went to buy mice!! We originally bought four, but one died on the way home, and another (Michael's hairless) got sick and died a few days later, so we currently have two fat healthy mice. A big white one with a tail called Arnold Wolf, and a smaller black tailess one called Angelina.
Yes, they are both boys.
I haven't got a photo of the mice yet but heres one of their cage :)
The Steam train happened on Sunday. It only came to our neck of woods for the one day so we could not be picky.
The children were really excited! We got to the train station late (though honestly I do nit know how this happened!!) and missed the first train, (we were planning on getting there early) and were trotting over to the bus, when we discovered that we had forgotten the camera (!!!!!!) so we tore back home again, got the camera, and raced back into town to wave our bus goodbye!
*sigh*
So we wait at the train station for the next train.
There was quite a crowd when we got off at the Moe train station, and they had the people who were getting on the steam train roped off! Some people were rather testy, others were impatient, others were oblivious to who was around (or under) them, but somehow we survived, and on the steam train we got!
We were just the right amount of carriages away from the head of the train! Close enough to enjoy the noise and steam, but not so close as to be smothered!
We were also in an older part of the train, and our windows opened!
It was soo cool, though we got a wee bit sooty. You can ju-ust make out some specks here on my wee babay. There was ever so much in his hair, as I discovered later, lol!
Once we got off at Traralgon we had to get home again, as the train wasn't heading back for four hours and we didn't want to stay in Traralgon for five hours with the children, so we had lunch, then went to check out the trains to see how we were getting home, but never made it there, as the bus stop was passed, and there was a bus there, and the bus was going our way! So the children had their very first bus ride too!
Home was so nice! lol!!
We had to move the strawberry garden! The dogs were pooping in it, and I couldn't cope with the thought of the children eating strawberries this way! Ugh! So Michael built me a standing plant box, and they are all moved into this!
I reckon it looks really great, though this photo was taken directly after we finished and its still messy, I've tidied up now, but its too dark for photo's.
That whole area is going to become a verander with a lazerlight roof. (I think that's how you spell it. The roofing that allows the light through) This will give me a place to hang my clothes outside when its wet AND a place for the children to play either when its real wet and/or muddy!
Okay, gonna save up now before the whole thing disapears again! 'Night all!
What Joyful Moments these were!
