A couple of Skirts
I have had a great need to get into my mending pile (largely because its almost as tall as I am)and these two skirts I really wanted to share.
The first is a very old woollen skirt of my mothers that she gave me because its too small or two short for my various families individual taste.
All I have done is sewn some elastic into the hem...
And now Hadassah has a new skirt!
The other skirt I man is a Christmas present for my Mum. It is three jeans made into one jean skirt. I simply cut off all the joining hems from the legs of the best pair of jeans, but left the pockets area whole. Then with the other two not so good jeans I cut off their legs, and then cut the legs open, so they lay flat. Then I just sewed all the legs together to make one wide skirt :)
Now I can only hope it fits her as well is it does me! :S

I had a jeans skirt just like that! They are so comfortable and warm! Looks like you did a great job sewing it together and I know your mother is going to love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a little hard to gauge my Mum's reaction to the skirt, but I know she appreciated the effort I put into it, and I know it fitted her because I made her try it on, lol!!
