Bread and Stuff

Our Sour dough was a complete success! It was so yummy! I am going to try it again, but I will grow the culture in a different container next time.

I have been freezing my herbs in olive oil, sos I can decide whether or not this works for, me, and have decided it works pretty well, so long as I do not burnthe herbs!

My apple vinegar experiment is a success! Here it is when I started with it a month ago,

And here it is now,

It has an awesome smell, and a sharp apple vinegar flavour! I am so pleased! Will definitely try this again.
I also made my first jam swirl loaf.
I had the breadmaker raise the dough for me, then I spread it with jam (I think it was rose jam....) and then I folder it together and baked it in the oven. Its only slightly burnt in places you can see, and tasted really good.

Also made some buttery jammy muffins with the excess jam. Naturally these fellows didn't last long, lol!

We have moved the rats into the boys room. As you can see the spot looks like it was made for them, and the rats are very happy here.

Here they are are curled up together looking like the very illustration of contentment.
With Mum's help I finally have my jean skirt finished :)  I hope from the photo's you can see what it looks like alright.

My inspiration for this skirt comes from Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/au/listing/75855151/reserved-belles-roses-bohemian-jean?ref=v1_other_1 you gotto scroll down a bit to see the skirt) and I love the way its turned out!
I was walking past the door way when I saw this startling sight! aster Eli had pulled the drawers out so he could read the books!!  I had to get a photo quick before I pulled him out.

He is the best climber out of all of them.
The girls room is nearly finished. This is a shot of what is now Phebe's desk, with a little message Hadassah left up for us to find, nawwww!

I'll leave you with an adorable shot I took of all the children quietly in front of the fire reading - a rare sight :)
