My poor kidaddles are all snoofly, and what's more, we just had the chaps from our local bloke come out to clean our gas heater, and they regretfully informed us that it (the heater) is on the way out, and probably won't last the winter! ACK!! A new gas heater will cost upwards of $2500, bought and installed, and we don't have that kind of money (or we would have bought a van!), and all the savings that we had put aside for the afore mentioned van was just spent on the car, which was rather unhappy!
Never mind, I am not worried because our bloke, Mal, said that he'd take care of us, and we stust him, so we shall see what happens!
In the mean time I have pulled out the wheat packs, and the children all had their own last night (instead of water bottles, less chance of spillage, ya see) and they all slept really cozy.
My garden is alive, but the ground is mush, so I have not been near it in nearly a week, and my green house is okay, though I am not doing much more than keeping it watered at the moment.
I am wearing slippers! SLIPPERS! This is the person who will tap dance through the frost in bare feet! I hate wearing shoes of any discription as a general rule, but I am wearing slippers. Now that, above alkl else, will tell you how cool it is at the moment!
THe weather here feels like its about
4ish degrees (though the weather channel may try to tell you
othrewise!!), it is dark (duh) but if your game enough to open the door
the light will bounce off the misty rain like it was glass, and its real
damp cold! Michael has been hard at work cleaning mold off the walls
and ceiling, esspecially in our bedroom, that seems to have sprung up
over night!
Yes, I rarely wear anything on my feet at all, even in this weather I would rather dance out quickly with all my piggies bare. I mean, how can I tell where the dirt is on my feet if I have shoes on? Atleast if I know where it is I can wipe it off, instead of tracking it inside!!
I also hate gloves! Washing up, gardening, or just plain cold, I'd rather go without!

A wheat pack is a cloth pillow that is
filled with wheat grains. You simply pop it into the microwave and it
stays hot for ages, and are safer and more flexible than hot water
bottles.
I'm rather partial to Aldi Caramel Hot Chocolate at the moment - NUM!NUM!
I won't even slip shoes on when I'm going out in the yard, have a hard time remembering to put them on when I'm going out, lol! You can imagine - the perfect outfit, but minus the shoes because the mirror isn't long enough!
Its as funny as something I did do - I showed up to church once barefoot, and I had no idea till one of my friends quietly asked if I couldn't decide what shoes to wear! I was so embarressed, not because anyone really minded (thewy know me) but because I actually had no idea of my mishap!!
