Last
night was ABC Child cares Christmas party at the Traffic School, which
is at the bottom of our street, and to tell you the truth I had
forgotten about it! I was on the bedroom floor writing in Christmas
cards (I've got about 60 to post as soon as I've got the yearly letter
in them).
We had pizza for dinner before we left (a thankyou from Granny for Michael mowing her lawns, and a teriffic treat for us), and even though it started at 6pm, we managed to make it there by 6.30pm, as we were walking because the children were taking their bikes.

So the first half hour the children rode around the roads frantically with the other children, and then Santa arrived at 7pm, which was exciting! But the excitement wore off when the long wait began for the children's names to be called out. We were almost last, and it took about half an hour before they were gotten too, and the funny thing was, after they got their presents they wern't even that interested in what they got, but went straight back to playing, lol!!

This time they all piled into the jumping castle and bounced around in there till it was time to go home, in which time Mumy and Daddy gathered up the bikes, and presents and rubbish, and collected sweet bags that were being given away, though funnily enough Michael got three, and I didn't know about it, and I got three too!! So we officially have plenty of treats, LOL!!

We got home at 8.15pm, which was still light, and I got into the shower so that the bath could fill for their baths, and that all went through smoothly, and we were just getting ready for Bible reading when the fireworks started!! We had no idea there were going top be fireworks, so we all dashed to the girls window and watched the fireworks go off, which I assume where going in the football field about five blocks away. The children LOVED the fireworks, and were all excited again in no time!
So after this we all threatened all kinds of horrors on the children till they sat still long enough for Daddy to start reading, and by the time he finished, which was only ten minutes or so later, they were all asleep! It was now 9.45pm.
I think I got to bed at 11pm? I dunno when Michael made it in. This morning I'm pretty tired, but the thing that seems to wear me out the most is the late nights!
So much more stuff I simply haven't the energy to sample, too. Like the RSL Club had a party, which had stuff for the kids, and several churches have had special services at odd times of the week, and theres a Carols by Candle Light I'm seriously considering on the 19th, but I dunno about that one either, because Hadassah's birthday is the 18th, and I might be too tired
We've never had an active Christmas before, and this one has been special. We still have Hadassah's birthday on the 18th, and Malachi's on the 21st, but we plan on keeping them at home, so they shall be relatively quiet.
Then on the 22nd Michael's got to drop off his Centerlink Form, I've got to see the Midwife, and then we're heading up to Wyreewa, which is shaping up to be the beginning of our rest, lol!
