08 Nov 2011 Big Weekend!

And I wasn't even allowed on Minti at the time! LOL! I guess in the big picture it was a blessing in disguise as I would definitly have tried to go on here as well and thus had even LESS time!
So, what did I get up to? Well, Saturday night we decided to get lost! True story!! I already told Pauline about it, who, poor thing, bore most of my Minti separation anxiety . Here is what I told her:
Michael and I took the kids to a bonfire at one of the deacons farm last night! It was really fun. We wern't planning on going, but a friend, Kelly, called up and talked Michael into it :) The children ate sausages and ran around like headless chooks with the other children that were there, while Michael and I went from chatting to looking frantically to see where they were, back to chatting, lol. The fire itself was fun for them, and when it got dark enough there were sparklers and glow sticks. Then when it was time to go home, some one wa sfollowing us, so we informed them we were scooting, and we left. Trouble was we took a wrong turn almost immediatly, and almost ended up out at Leongatha!! A 45 minute drive turned into nearly 3 HOURS!!!! It was midnight by the time we got home, the friend had farther to go but she stopped at our place to have a coffee and wake up a bit. We were laughing over the mistake, and had a great time chatting about stuff you only talk about when your so tired it doesn't occure to you NOT to, LOL! Anyway, I went to church this morning with just Eli, but only because a little friend popped in and asked for a lift to church - and I forgot my Sunday School bag! Aw man! I was so tired,- still am! So I will be trying to have a rest before we head out to Warragul this afternoon for another church service!
And then the next day was Sunday (duh!) and I had no plans of going to church, but one of the little girls who go showed up on the doorstep and asked for a lift, so I hurried through brekky, dragged on some clothes and grabbed Eli and off we went! It turned out I was glad I did because the lady who's boy has cancer gave the story up the front, and she broke down afterwards, so I held her tightly during the following song and she was able to get herself together, and then later I stood with her at the back of the church as the service ended, and she was able to draw some strength from me. I did not do Sunday School as I did not think to bring my bag!! I skipped out and home again pretty quick after the service as I was tired enough to feel very antisocial.
Then that afternoon we drove an hour to another church as the children were very put out that they missed church, and it was such a blessing , as this church has a few dear friends in it, and our children have many more kids to play with there than they do at our regular church. We'd go more often, only an hour to drive is a LONG way!
After the service the church was throwing a supper, so we stayed to at, and then after that we ended up at one of the friends house for some fellowship. Got home at about 10pm
.......
Monday morning I felt like I'd been put though the ringer, but I got up and Michael took the children to swimming while I did normal housey stuff like washing.
Then a friend, BJ, popped over and we talked for a while, which was good, as it gave me a chance to stop, and then Granny showed up, and it got a little hectic, as Granny has separated herself very abruptly from the children for reasons of her own, and the children do not understand why, and she has not explained, and I have done my best, but they are still insecure over it, so BJ took the children out into the back yard and palyed with them while Granny was here, and then, to my surprise, Granny left without saying goodbye to the children, so that led to more explaining..... But the day ended with Bj and I taking the children for a walk down to the shops, which not only the children but BJ enjoyed too, so I am happy .
Now it is Tuesday, and I am back here offficially, and you are caught up with me, and I am now going to go sit down with a cuppa!

My small wee child is tearing around the floor on all fours, eating  unmetionable things I do not pick up fast enough, and the rest of the time grizzling, so I forgot about it!!!
