Michael
left with our friends from church Laurie and Cynthia to go to Cynthia's
rellies in Melbourne some where, to pick up the van.
Now, this is still frought with problems, because first we had to organise a trailer to get it here, because whatever is wrong with it prevents it from being switched on because something worse will go wrong if you do, so it can't be towed, as it needs to be turned on for the breaks to work!
Next problem is that our mechanic is not open on Saturday, and Saturday was the only day that Cynthia's rellies were home to meat them, so we are having to take the van to the church. Problem also because when the van is taken off the trailer it won't be moving again without another trailer, and those blessed things cost $150 for a couple of hours, and we just do not have that kind of money right now!
Its going to the church, because we theorise it'll be moved to the mechanic's faster because the elders will want to move it as soon as it can be organised, lol! Just as well we get along like a house on fire, eh?
So once the van is here I can tell you what it is, what is wrong with it, and maybe even send some photo's! Can't wait to find out myself!
We have calculated our dollars, and we can get a $500 loan from Centerlink, but anything more than that we are going to have to find else where, and next week the last of the bills (hopefully) will be sorted, so it looks very much like we will not be driving this thing until after baby arrives and my pay from Centerlink goes up and the baby bonus starts to come in. Its a pain, because it means we won't be able to drive around as a family till then, but at least we aren't high and dry. I have to remember that.
Anyway, back to my original statement. Michael is gone with our friends to Melbourne some where to get the van of unknown make (lol!) and will be back some time to day!
I am not worried! I have the car! If something happens between me and baby I shall load the children into the car an go to hospital by myself! Bwawawawawa!
Yeah, he had his pill as soon as he got home, which was about 3.30pm, and it seemed to be soon enough. LOL! Trouble was we were both very tired, so there was some head knocking between us anyway, but its all godd, mate!
I am hoping it will be an easy fix too. Michael headed out to the mechanic's a short time ago to tell the nice man exactly why there was a van parked out the front of his shop, lol!
The van is here, it is at the mechanic's, and I am awaiting an update as to the dollars, but over all, is very good news!

Darn it, I'm not going to freak out!!
Not before I've seen the thing! I'm not!!! Just got a phone call from
Michael (who I'm still worried about because he hasn't had his medicine)
and Michael tells me they got there safely (yay!) and that the van is
in good nick, it is a Tarago GL van of so far unknown year, but even
though its an automatic Michael says its an older version, and that its
almost as boxy as the white work vans. I have always had an adhorance
for those vans, and I'm being very unreasonable to be so bloody upset
over what may simply be an exaduration on Michael's part. And so what if
he's not? We need the van, I have no business being this fussy over
what we get when we're not even buying it from them. Its a gift! Get
over it!
Oh dear! I have just discovered Michael
did not take his depression medication before he left. If he doesn't
take that before early arvo, we're all in for a hard time tomorrow . . .
