11 Feb Purple Loaf!

We buy about six loaves of bread for the fornight, and usually run our after the first week, so Michael and I make bread in our breadmaker to compensate the rest of the week. Lately Michael has been adding food colouring to the loaves, and this is the  latest one:

 Michael and I have taken to setting the timer on the machine and having it cook in the wee hours of the morning so we wake up to the smell of fresh bread!
 It actually tastes really good with vegemite, because Michael added a wee extra sugar (I have no idea why!!) and so its sweeter than normal! Trouble is our toaster is demented at the moment, it takes three pops to make the dang thing work!
 Erm, sorry, need to clarify. We need to push the bread down and it 'pop' up three times before it is nicely cooked, no matter what setting the dial is on.
