27 Oct 2010 Just a quickie

This morning at the hospital I was informed I am only 18 weeks and two days (make up your minds!!) And my prolonged illness may be medical, not pregnancy.
Malachi ran away from Granny in the shopping centre at lunch time and it took Granny and two Security Guards to find him (Praise the Lord he was found)
Tonight Granny was taking her wee doggie for a walk and got molested by two large dogs. She is suffering from cuts to one hand, a wrenched back, and nerves.
Will fill in the details later, too late at night and tired to do it now, but wanted to write it up so I did not forget to write it up

This morning Granny is feeling tired but better, she has about five tooth marks in her hand and nuckles, from where the (I think she said they were Rotwheeler cross)dogs had jumped up on her to try and Get her wee doggie, Tassie, and she has to get a tetnas shot today, but other than that she is okay, just a bit shakey and tired.
Malachi is unrepentant, but I don't think he'll do it again, because Granny says he was very embarressed about the security guards collecting him and telling him how wrong it was.

The midwife has organised for me to give a urin sample and a blood sample for testing to see if I'm lacking anything important, because she reckons I shouldn't be still finding foods that I cannot eat when I could eat them previously (like the other night I discovered after being violently sick I can no longer have any rice, when last week I could eat it) and the nasty head aches I've been regularly getting. My doctors appointment is on the 17th, and my next ultra sound is on the 10th, so I shall find out all then!
I can't believe Malachi did that! He has been behaving very smugly and snottily with every one but me lately. I mean, I've heard reports from Haddassah and Daddy, an now Granny, so something is going on with him that he doesn't want to communicate to me. I shall have to try to talk to him about it,  but he is so protective of me I don't know if he'll open up.
Yes, Granny was quite shaken. She said the dogs had backed her up a driveway, and the owners of the house came out to see what the noise was about, and she cried, 'Help Me!', and when they ushered her inside the dogs tried to push their way in too!!!! The owners (an old Italian couple, and the mother of one of them), yelled and pushed the dogs till they went out, and then ministered first aid to Granny's poor hand, while calling the police. A nasty business, but she is doing very well now.

I shall see the doctor on the 17th, and he will review my test results and advice me according to what he finds, and I'm going to ask him to have a poke around inside me when he preforms the c-section, to see if its leisions or scar tissue in an unfortunate place that was causing my dificulties early in the year (you know, the PCOS that wasn't PCOS), and the widwife aslo suggested that if that isn't it, I could also have too high levels of estregen (yeah, I know, my spelling sucks through this whole blog, but I'm in a hurry!) which apparently can cause the symptoms I was experiencing, so I have hope!
Malachi is an oowah! Granny says that the first thing she thought when she discovered he was gone was 'oh my gosh! I've lost Malachi and Naomi is pregnant! What am I going to tell her?' I am so glad he was found!
Apparently the owner of one of the dogs was looking after the second (larger and older) dog while his brother was in jail, and ever since he had been watching the other dg his dog had been behaving very badly, being taught all sorts of naughty things. He has no idea how they got out, as he had them both tied up. He says he's going to et rid of the other dog as its just too hard.

Well, I'm definitly pregnant, because I've seen the baby, as well as felt it, lol! But I am open to the idea that something else might be wrong, as what I am experiencing is most unusual. LOL, I told the midwife it wasn't fair, because even though my diet has been halved, my appetite  has doubled!
Yes, I'm glad he was found too. Granny had gotten to the point where she felt safe letting him walk beside or near her without holding hands, but methinks he has lost those priveliges now!
Thanks for the web site, I'll show Granny. She says she was fine when they first started sniffing around them, and then when they started to push, she lifet Tassie up high, and Tassie started to get stressed because he thought the dogs were after her, not him, and then she started to back away very quickly when the dogs started to jump up! Praise the Lord that the people in the house were willing to help her!
Her putting Tassie behind her wouldn't have worked, because the dogs had split up, one on one side of her, the other on the other, and were showing signs of aggression before Tassie did. I understand what your saying, but I honestly don't think in this case that this would have helped, because there was no where for Tassie to go, and when the dogs attacked (which Granny they seemed ready to do as soon as they got close) the only thing I can see changing if Granny had not lifted Tassie and retreated would be a dead or mauled wee doggie, instead of tooth marks in a hand.
