My
4 year old son, Malachi was rushed to hospital this morning by his
daddy, after the pain in his tummy that he had been feeling all of
yesterday had intensified.
It is now 4 hours later and all I've heard is that they think it might be apendicitis.
I know he'll be alright. Thats what doctors are paid for, right?
Malachi came home on Wednesday, and ws very quiet, but by the end of the day we were having trouble keeping him in the chair as he wanted to get up and walk around!
Thursday he said he did not want to go to ABC childcare with his sister, but wanted to come along for the ride (we usually walk their with the wopping big three seater pram), and then when we got he wanted to stay, so I left him there. He wanted to come home just after luch so Michael drove over to get him, and the rest of the day was spent trying to keep him occupied in a sitting position!!
Today he had brekky (half a nuttella sanga) and is happily watching Peter Pan on DVD at the minute!
Over all it was an experience I did not like in the slightest, but took some valuable experience away with me.
He has swelling around his IV last night, so they swapped arms, and he started to swell there too. That was the last I heard of that, but there is still hope that both of them can come home today *fingers crossed*

This morning he wanted to get up, and was very grumpy because no one would let him, lol!
Hadassah is missing him very much. She keeps looking for him, and gets sad when she can't find him or Daddy. I feel so sorry for her (goodness knows what she'll be like when Michael is finally well enough to work!!) but I am stickingb to the daily routine, and it seems to be working because she slept like a baby last night!

I was told by Michael not long ago that
Malachi is out of surgery. His appendix had burst, but he's all cleaned
up now, and is sleeping off the drugs.
*staggers over to chair and heaves sigh of relief*
