20 Jan 2009 Hot days are bad m'kay?

Actually, I lie. Hot days are okay so long as there is a means of escape, but I can't stand hot nights!!! All sticky and damp and uncomfortable!!
Yesterday was 35 degrees, and it was great! The children were in ABC Chirdcare (affectionatly known as 'dog house' by the children) and Michael and I spent the day in the pool and watching TV. Then night came and it cooled off maybe 7 degrees? And by the time this morning made an appearence I'm over it. Over just about everything. Grump, grump, grump!!
I shall live.
The children are coping really well. They are all pretty fair, like me, so I need to keep them inside, and we are getting really creative, activity wise! Even Malachi is acting as if he was never in the hospital for major surgery a week ago.
I hope I am the only one suffering in the warm weather!

Malachi had his appendix out  and was up and running around within a few days of coming home (much to my relief, joy and disgust (him getting over it that quick made me feel old!!)) He is now very proud of his scar, and takes every opportunuty to show it off, we just have to made sure that the scar is ALL he shows, not accidentally his block and tackle as well !

I've been watching the weather channel, and every one down this end of Australia is copping the hot end of the stick! Cairns is only low to mid thirties, can you believe it?!
The day I posted this up it actually reached 45.5!!!!!!! And we've had the same every day since!!!!!! 30 will never be hot again!!!!!!  I pity any one who does nopt have an airconditioner, (myself included!)!

I am very blest in that, on top of my freckles I usually go brown, (not that it hides the freckles lol), but I don't handlethe heat very well, I tend to get dizzy spells, black outs and mirgains, (yep I know, I spelt it wrong!). My youngest daughter seems to be taking after me in that respect, and she also seems to be the fairest, but we don't have a convenient water hole, so we hole up in the house and pray that the nights cool off!
We are going to start Malachi on weekly swimming lessons as soon as we can raise the funds, and Hadassah midway through the year. That'll be fun!
