Well, yesterday started out as just dropping the children off at the ABC
childcare in Morwell, (which they affectionatly call 'Doghouse' LOL).
I got a little anxious on the way home about the various toys I have
kept at the Morwell Chapel, so on the way home, after we'd bought bread
and some meat at Mid Valley, we went to the Chapel to sort
through the toys.
(The pastor's wife,Jenny Sharmen, usually cleans on Wednesdays, you
see, and she has a small bee in her bonnet about all the toys not being
used and just taking up space, hee hee, and so I wanted to get the ones I
wanted to keep out of there before she had a chance to give them to a
charity or something!)
Then, in the middle of Michael and I loading up the car I had a fit of
conscious and got Michael to call Howard and let him know what we
wanted to do, and this phone call led us to wait for one of the
deacon's, Neil Baily, who
was on his way to the church at that moment, and while they did not care if we took the toys away, he wanted to say 'G'day'!
We finally managed to finish sorting the toys into three groups, the
one that was staying at the Chapel, the one going to the Sunday School
room, and the one coming home with us, and, two car trips later, we were
organized!
Now we were at the Baptist church talking to another deacon, Rob
Archer, and trying to get the toys put away at the same time (please
note that there really aren't that many toys!!!!), and by the time were
done organizing and talking, its three o'clock, the time Howard and Neil
are due to get there, so we stay, and guess what? Dear old Mr. Howard
and Mr. Neil are nearly
forty-five minutes late!!!!!
Never mind. Two cups of coffee later . . . .
The end result is we did not get any of the jobs at home done at all, but we do not mind, as the day was interesting anyway!
