I love the smell of cut grass! Its so clean, so fresh, so refreshing!
Spent the last couple of days feeling rather confused as to why next doors would behave the way she has, but today is a new day!
Michael and I have a plan, in which we put up a lattice and shade cloth barrier on top the the existing back fence so that they cannot see us, and Michael is goin to put up a small fence and gate so that the children cannot touch the fence, so that eliminates future problems, hopefully.
I have put some mulch on my vege patch down that side of the house, which I formerly have not done much with because I felt uncomfortable being so close to their house and open windows, but as that is no longer going to be an issue I can cultivate my veges over there,(and fend off snails!), and encourage the grass to grow, and make the little ally way looks as pretty as I know it can!
I mowed the grass myself this morning (Michael usually does it, but I did it as he has to put the grey water pipe onto bath drain pipe, which will go onto the afore mentioned vege patch), and half the grass cuttings I piled onto the patch of earth Gaspode likes to roll on, (where the children promptly went crazy in) and the rest I spread out over the bare ground of the ally way.
The sheer contentment and joy that welled up in my heart as I pushed the mower, smelt the grass, and listened to the shrieks of joy from my darling three little ones was soooooooo nice! I want every day to be like this one!!
