I am suddenly feeling chatty, and since the phone is off limits (
Lo-ong
convestations with Mum taking their toll) and there is no longer any
one near to talk too, you guys are gonna have to suffer!
I love cold nights because it causes you to snuggle under the blankets in a way you would not other wise do, but I dislike them because the towels in the bathroom do not dry! If the children happen to uncover themselves on a cold night they do not reach for the blankets - oh no! They roll out of bed into the cold, cold air, patter through the house on the cold, cold floor, and then climb into bed beside us - COLD FEET AND ALL!! This morning we awoke to Phebe on my chest, Hadassah in Daddy's side, and Malachi across our feet!! I draw the line at the dog joining us though. He gave up after he was thrown across the room the second time. We have plenty on stuff for him to lie on, I will NOT share my bed space with him!
Phebe is growing out of her onesy's! Since its cold Michael likes toi put her in the fleecy onesy's so that if she does kick the covers off she's less likely to catch a chill. I remember first putting Hadassah's outgrown onesy's into Phebe's cubicle, and thinking how big they were! Now they are looking horrible small!! Why, oh why do small adorable things have to grow?
Hate lice!!!!! I had 'em licked! They were gone! After a month of combing morning and night they were gone! GONE! And now, a month or so on, I'm finding the rotton beggars again! Nooooooooo! We just can't afford the treatments, so I'm back to combing again. Never catch lice! I don't care what you do, just don't do it!!
Next doors chopped down the beautiful gum tree chopped that was along side our fence line and helped to provide a screen between our yards. I am not sad, though, as the extra light that is now flooding down the side of the house where I have my nursery is awesome! Trouble is that part of the yard looks a wee bit bare now. Not on the ground, but up in the air - know what I mean?
My hair is growing longer. I can now sit on it when its wet. When its dry it waves and curls so you cannot gauge the length, but Michael commented, so the fact that I now have to comb for lice again is terrible, as that come plays havoc with my ends! Last time I had to trim about three inches off the bottom! Oh well, I'll live.
Gaspode stinks!! He is Shitze cross Malteez (spelling?) and his shaggy hair just grabs every thing and holds it! He smalls terrible if we do not wash him every few days, and its been nearly a week because its been so cold! Alas poor Gaspode - we cannot wait any longer! You MUST have a bath!! Loves his walk, though. Actually, its not his walk, but mine, and I took him along once, and now he begs, and pleads, and makes an absolute pain of himself every time he knows I want to go out! Sometimes I just want to be by myself on my walks, and he makes it really hard!!
My garden is looking a wee bit bare. Definitly a winter garden! Got the Broccoli, brussel sprouts, spinach, egg plant, and hot chilli still I can harvest from, and the baby beets, leeks, rocket, and carrots still coming up, but its really not a whole lot when you look at it. Bought some more herbs, too. Trying Chamomile, Taragon. and chervil, and so far they are all still alive!
Methinks I want to move. Been looking along the coast around Woodside, Vic, and it looks affordable, and pleasant, but moving will not be so simple this time, as we first have to prepare this house to be sold (eg, finish painting inside and out , replace side front fence, and lay flooring inside), and then we have to get a certain price, and then, because we all want Granny to live with us, we need to find a place suitable to house us all. My ideal is around five acres with two dwellings on it, one for her, and one for us, so this way we are close, but not on each others territories, if you know what I mean. And as far as I can work out right now, we'd have a budget of about $210000 to make this happen with. Impossible? No! Just challenging! LOL!
Now you can see why my phone calls to Mum cost so much! They generally take a couple of hours. At least when I write my natter down it makes some sort of sense, too. When I'm excited, and I talk on the phone, I can change subjects so fast you need to be either listening closely, or used to me to follow! LOL!
