23 Mar 2010 An emotional Week!

Okay, so on Sunday Michael has a major melt down, and we end up not going to church, which leaves me very anxious, because I'm the only one at the moment with a key to the house.
Okay, so on Sunday Michael has a major melt down, which results in us not going to church, and leaves me very stressed because i'm the only one who has a key to the sunday school room, and so they can't access the lesson I prepared, AND we are the only means of one little boy (Ricky) to get to church at all and he was left high and dry without an explanation as I do not have his phone number.
Then on Monday I recieve word that my Mum and three of my siblings are in a car cash, and they are all in hospital, but doing fine (??) And so that evening I finally call Dad to see what the word is, and he doesn't know, so I get the hospital number off him, and call Mum, who was helicopter to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne with Hannah (who is almost 5) to find out what the dillio is. Mum sounds terrible, but she tells me that Miriam and Tim, who were sent to Bairnsdale Hospital, are both fine and were sent home, and she and Hannah are fine to go home, only they can't get home, as home is about five hours car ride away in Wyreewa, and the hospital does not have the means to get them there (!!!!!). Mum tells me she's trying to get a hotel for the night, and will catch the train tomorrow (But the afore mentioned train\only goes as far as Bairnsdale, and then it would be an hour taxi rode to their actual HOME), and she sounded very week and wobbly, so I told her then and there that I'd come and get her. Mum sounded a lot stronger when I got off the phone, and so, at 6pm, My darling mother - in - law and I bundle into the car and start of the two and a half hour trip to Melbourne, AFTER I borrow $75 off Granny to fill the car with fuel! It was all smooth driving till we hit Melbourne, and then it got hairy, as neither of us knows Melbourne, but, after finding the only hospital that WASN"T on the map, and getting lost twice, we finally reach the Royal Children's Hospital at 9pm. Mum and Hannah crawl into the car, Hannah terrible tired, and Mum tired an in a lot of pain as her neck was thrown out among other things, and we start on the trip home. It took us a couple of goes to get on the right road, and for a while there we were heading in the wrong direction, but we finally find the M1, and it was smooth sailing (driving? after that, and we reach home at 11pm. Michael and I give Mum and Hannah our bed, I give Mum my pillows to try and make her comfortable, and I sleep on the couch and Michael on the floor.
The next day I'm exhausted and I beg off taking them home till the next day as I have an ultra sound at 8am the following morning, and it was all just a bit too hard at that point. A few phone calls later and Mum says its all fine, so  spend the rest of the day trying to make sure Mum has as little as possible to do, and that Hannah has as much as possible to do.
After another night on the couch I get up ultra early and leave with Granny to go to my ultra sound, and Michael took the children to child care on his way to gym, leaving Mum and Hannah alone for the morning. We got home all about the same time, and had a nice lunch, after which we watched a movie, and Michael and I went to get the children at 2pm, so we could have a proper good bye, as I planned to spend the night at my parents house and come back the following day. Into the car went Mum, Hannah, Phebe, Granny and myself, and we all started on the two and a half hour car trekk back to Wyreewa, stopping briefly in Bairnsdale on the way past so Mum could do a wee bit of grocery shopping, and finally arriving at their place at about 5pm.
We had tears from Mum, Miriam, and Tamar just before dinner because Tim said something tactless, and so I left Tamar changing Phebe (which was the most normal job I could think of at the time, made sure Mum was okay, and then spent about fifteen  minutes hugging Miriam till she regained composier. Next the tears almost started again after wards, so I took Mum on a walk around her garden and got her to show me everything, and then took Miriam on a long walk to let her talk it out (Let me just mention at this point my head was trying to sprout wings and fly away, and my guts were threatening to fall out between my legs as it was the first day of my period, but these are minor details, really!)
Next morning after a some what chilly night in the caravan Granny, Phebe and myself all pile into the car again to head home, stopping in Traralgon on the way past to do OUR grocery shopping, and finally we are home.
I've been recovering ever since!
Oh yes, and concerning the accident, Miriam is a Learner and she was driving, but it wasn't her fault. Some old dude, who was completely unharmed, didn't stop at a give way sign, and instead of slamming on the breaks like a more experienced driver would have done, she froze. But everything's alright, as the his insurance covered everything, and every one is recovering!
not resting, but slowing down yes! I tend to think to much if I just stop, so I've been going at a steady pace, and things are okay - Mum and all are back into normalicy, with bruises fading, Granny is in her own home now, unpacking, and our own routine is slowly coming back together!
